Hello, and thanks for visiting my site, here I will be doing a review of the ERGOBABY OMNI 360 BABY CARRIER. I will be discussing:
1. How the product works and the design, both practical and aesthetic.
2. The feedback and reviews of actual mums and dads that have used this carrier. Both pros and cons.
3. How it differs from other carriers.
4. Summary of the Omni carrier and where you can find it, and others like it.
HOW DOES THE OMNI 360 WORK, IS THE DESIGN PRACTICAL?
The Omni 360 is result of the design team at ERGOBABY listening to feedback from parents and coming up with a carrier which is the most versatile I have personally seen on market.
It is designed to be comfortable and easy to use, which is for me really I important as I do t like having to fiddle around with too many straps and clips when going out with my own 1 year old!
THE KEY FEARTURES OF THE OMNI 360 BABY CARRIER
. 4 different carrying positions for your baby. The front facing you, the baby facing outward, placement of carrier to be lower down on the hips, and baby on your back. Personally I never use the baby on my back position as it kind of bothers me not being able to see my son whilst carrying him, lol.
. The carrier can be used with a newborn right up to infant, weight 3.2kgs to 15kgs. Or 7-33 lbs.
. The strap placement means you get extra support on your lumbar ( lower region of your back), for added comfort.
. There is a handy folding tuck away hood for sun protection, and to give mum a little more privacy while breastfeeding.
. The Omni 360 comes with a detachable storage pouch, which I find quite useful.
. The design of the carrier is hip healthy and gives your little one added ergonomic comfort.
THE IMPORTANT BIT, HOW DOES IT FEEL WHEN NOT IN USE?
So the feedback from parents who have purchased the Omni 360 is that the key points they really appreciate are the options to face their baby in or outwards, the ease of use, and the major support the straps give their lower back, along with the comfortable cross over back straps.
I have looked at feedback from multiple sites as well as ERGOBABY and can say that parents with kids from near newborn to older baby’s are finding the investment a good one overall.
However, no product review would be worth it without including the concerns from some parents. To start, be careful when you wash this carrier and be sure to follow the instructions for washing on the label as otherwise the colour will fade slightly, and after buying what is a high end product, you certainly don’t want that. Especially if you have gone for one the limited edition designs, like the Hello Kitty theme that is offered by ERGOBABY.
The only other point to mention is that the Omni 360 carrier is designed as a top of the line product, which means we should expect the comfort, support and versatility that it certainly does seem to provide, but you get what you pay for, and you should expect to pay at the higher end of the scale for this particular carrier. But remember it is made with the expectation of being able to be used up until your baby is at the 15 kilo mark in weight, so at the infancy stage.
HOW IS THE OMNI DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CARRIERS?
So I have looked at quite a few other carrier sites and I have to say, not all carriers are made the same. For a start there is a real emphasis on comfort for you and your baby with the Omni 360, along with the fact that you can see that the design team have really thought about how much pressure is put on mum and dads backs when carrying their baby for any length of time. And the strap positions reflect this.
You also do not need any infant or newborn inserts for the Omni 360, and the carrier is easy to adjust on the go, well as easy as adjusting any carrier with a baby in it is ever going to be! The materials are what you would expect of a high end product and reflect the intention to make your baby as comfortable and secure as can be when they are close to you in this carrier.
SUMMARY OF THE ERGOBABY OMNI 360 BABY CARRIER
In my view, and experience as a dad who has used a different carriers for my first son who is now 5 and has used Ergobaby carriers for my baby boy who is 1, the Omni is a top notch product. It does come with a higher price tag of £139.99, and that’s a little higher than some other brands of carriers, but frankly speaking, it is an investment in you and your baby’s comfort and health, and in my opinion well worth it.
If you are not going to be using a baby carrier very often, then you could well do with a carrier that does not offer all the features I have stated on this review and pay a lesser price. But if you are like my wife and I and will be giving a baby carrier a fair or good amount of use, then I would certainly recommend the Ergobaby Omni 360 carrier as a very good investment for you and your baby.
