Hello and thanks for visiting my review of the Armadillo City Slim Folding Pushchair, from Mamas&Papas. I will be looking at the pros and cons of this pushchair and why it is different from regular pushchairs. We will look at the specifications and design and importantly how it handles with your little one in it.
We will ask how it differs from other similar brands and of course whether it is worth the price tag. It is my goal that by the time you have read this review through o the end, you will have enough information to know if the Armadillo is right for you and your baby.
So as you might expect from a well known and trusted brand like Mamas&Papas;, the Armadillo is well put together, and is more durable than the slimline look suggests.
. The Armadillo measures at height: 99cm x width: 55cm x length: 79cm.
. It’s folded measurements are height: 72.5cm x width: 50cm x length: 33cm
. It is extremely lightweight at only 7.3kg exactly.
. It has a large folding hood with a UFO 50+ to protect from the suns rays.
. Also, this pushchair comes with an underneath shopping basket, rain cover and cup holder all included.
The Armadillo City Silm Folding Pushchair is designed for performance and convenience. It’s lightweight frame is still strong enough to support your baby and be easily maneuverable, while at the same time offering your child an extra spacious seat, despite the slimline design.
It is perfect for busy metropolitan life, hence the word ‘city’ in the name. Now aren’t all Pushchairs foldable I hear you ask? Well sure, but not quite like this. There is a trend now in the busy world we live in to create new models of strollers and pushchairs that don’t just fold, but are highly compacted and easy to carry when you fold them.
And this pushchair is no exception to this new design concept. Being so lightweight and easily compactable means that it something that should fit in the rear of your car, or be easily carried on board a train or even a plane should you be planning to travel with your baby.
Well now this is a good question, I have looked into similar foldable compact pushchairs and their different features.
Although there seems to be a new trend of highly compactable and lightweight easy to carry strollers and pushchairs emerging in the market, I struggled to find a brand as trusted as Mamas&Papas with, in my opinion a fair price tag attached. In fact if you are thinking of choosing a different brand than the Armadillo, then I would recommend reading another product review of the Ergobaby Metro Compact City Stroller.
So the crunch question of how much does this pushchair retail for and is it worth the investment. The answer in my opinion is yes, if your looking for a pushchair that can be used from the birth of your baby right upto when they’re 15kg or around 3years old, when they will be rather walking than in a pushchair anyway.
And if your in a busy area or not, just the convenience and ease of carry that the Armadillo gives you, makes this pushchair from Mamas&Papas well worth the investment. And the that is usually at the £189.00 mark, which on its own is very reasonable, but right now you can get your hands on the Armadillo City Slim Folding Pushchair for a discounted £141.00. A real bargain in my view.
So here is the thing about each new generation of pushchair, they all do something a bit better than the previous one, and this pushchair is at the front of the new ‘compact city’ design that so many top brands are coming out with. And Mamas&Papas; are not beginners in creating quality products for your baby to enjoy.
They are putting in the basket, rain cover and cup holder inclusive with this purchase, and you will be hard pressed to find a comparable brand with a similar price tag, especially if you get in now and pick up the Armadillo while Mamas&Papas have their sale on.
