Hello and thank you visiting my review of the accessories for Ergobaby carriers. In this review we will look at the most relevant accessories for your Ergobaby carrier and assess the quality, usefulness and price of each one. I hope you will find it helpful and it will aid you in deciding if they are needed for you and your little ones. So let’s get started!

Ergobaby carrier Drool/Teething Bibs

I handy little accessory

Nice and easy to explain, the Drool bib is a nifty little attachment to your carrier that makes it far easier to keep your Ergobaby carrier clean, meaning less time in the wash where you can’t use it. It totally aching washable and made from 100% cotton with a 100% polyester lining.

Keeping your carrier dry

The Drool Teething Bib is made with a double layer of cotton for extra softness and absorbency. Otherwise it’s just the same as the standard Drool Bib.

The Drool Bib costs $25 and the Drool and Teething Pad Bib is the same price! So kind of a no-brainier as to which one you should choose in my view!

It should be noted that this attachment is suitable for the Omni 360 carrier, standard 360 and the Adapt Carriers only.

Zippered pouches

So then we have the very nice zippered pouch that can be attached to the front or side of the waist belt, OR on the shoulder straps for your convenience of your Ergobaby carrier. It is thankfully compatible with any Ergobaby carrier, so you don’t need to worry about which version you purchased.

Accessories for the Ergobaby carrier

It measures at 8 inches by 6 inches and is great for storing your non-baby essentials it, like your phone, cards, keys or munchies for you and your baby.

A must have for me

It’s made from 100% premium cotton for extra durability, and of course as with most Ergobaby accessories it is machine washable. It will cost you $19.50 to buy.

Winter/Rain Weather Cover

Now we have the Ergobaby rain cover. It is quite essential, especially in the rainy season to purchase one of these covers. It can be attached to any Ergobaby carrier and will keep your baby dry and warm with the highly water resistant Ripstop material it is made from, and the hood. There is also a winter variant that comes with a soft fleece lining for added warmth.

This is a vital cover to have, especially in the cold season

Both variants are machine washable and cost the same price of $50. My advice, go with the winter variant.

Easy Snugg Infant Insert

So we come to the Infant insert for your carrier. It is not essential but still advisable if you can afford it, to purchase this Easy Snugg Infant Insert as it allows you to easily load and unload your baby into his or her carrier.

In addition to this, although all Ergobaby carries are designed for luxury and support, the Easy Snugg insert allows you to adjust the head and neck support for additional comfort. The shape of the insert will still allow for the natural ergonomic position of your baby.

An extra bit of luxury for your baby

The design of this insert is to also allow for a good amount of airflow so your baby doesn’t get hoot hot while in their carrier. It’s designed to be used for babies weighing from newborn right up to when your baby weighs around 5.5 kilos. The pillow section is easily removable and it is all machine washable.

The cost of the Easy Snugg. Infant Insert is $35.

Drool Pads

Perfect for protecting the shoulder straps

The Drool pads are handy little wraps that go around the front of the shoulder straps of your Ergobaby carrier to give your baby something soft and clean to chew on when Teething and also help to keep your straps clean.

They can attach to any Ergobaby carrier and are fully machine washable. They are double layered cotton so there is no need to worry about your baby’s new teeth getting damaged. There is a 100% organic cotton variant to this drool pad too.

Simple yet effective

If you want the synthetic cotton version, they will cost $17.50, and $20 for the pure organic version.

I think it’s worth saying that going by previous experiences of my 2 boys, once in your carrier, baby will like to chew on the shoulder straps to the point of soaking them, so these seemingly simple little pieces of material are a pretty good investment in my humble opinion.

What I think of these accessories for your baby!

So there you have it! A pretty thorough rundown of the available accessories or you Ergobaby carrier. These are not the only accessories that Ergobaby do, by any means, but certainly the ones that are exclusively compatible with the carriers.

I hope you enjoyed this review and if you would like to leave me a question, comment, share or like, please do so below and I will get back to you promptly with a reply. Things have certainly improved for parents and babies these days from the times long ago when my wife and I were raising our two children (they have 6 now, so this post caught my eye for the grandkids!). The many accessories available for the Ergobaby Carriers are well worth a look and an investment, in my opinion.

Each of the accessories you have included is making a lot of sense to me for many reasons. I can remember having the babies throw up in the carriers we used, and having to switch or worse, not being able to switch because we were out somewhere. Removing the drool cover is much easier.

The bags for storage included also make a lot of sense. Until you have a baby, you do not realize how much stuff you need to haul around. It is more than you think. You need somewhere to store it all, and it needs to be accessible quickly too. These storage bags solve these issues.

The Snugg insert also makes it a lot easier to adjust the carrier support you provide to the baby. That has some real health benefits, plus perhaps a less cranky baby because they are feeling uncomfortable. The faster loading and unloading is also helpful for the parent.

Thanks for a thorough look at these accessories for the Ergobaby carriers. I have forwarded the site and review to my girls so they too can have a look at them. They will be the ultimate users on a regular basis, as I am just the grandpa, far away at the moment. My turn will come when I get back to where they are living.

    1. Kenneth Glossop says:

Yes thank you, the kids all love these carriers, or at least I don’t know any parent that has said their baby didn’t like the carrier. Thanks

Drool bid seems like a great accessory for Ergobaby. Do you have any idea what material it’s made of? I am very concern because my baby has a very sensitive and dry skin. The constant contact on certain material like wool will make his skin itchy and rashes can surface. That’s why it’s important for me to determine the material before I buy. Hope you are able to find out for me. Thanks.

    1. Kenneth Glossop says:

Hi yes the drool bib is made from 100% cotton and has an organic option too. Thanks, Kenny

I haven’t see the rain covered ones yet. I so need that during the winter and rainy season. Baby carriers work so well, I love having my little one snuggled into me and they love it too. One thing that is great about the front carries, I can have both hands available, especially when I have my other kids

    1. Kenneth Glossop says:

Yes I agree, it is a real bonus to be able to go hands free with your baby in the carrier. I also have a 5 year old so I can totally relate to what your saying. Thanks Kenny

I will definitely keep this site in mind when I start to have kids and need some accessory recommendations.

I am wondering, between the synthetic cotton drool pad and the pure organic drool pad, is one necessarily better than the other? Also, does the one you get depend on what kind of features you need?

    1. Kenneth Glossop says:

No there is really no difference in the quality between organic and otherwise. Only if you reallly want your baby to have that extra bit of luxury is all. Thanks.

  7. Abagatan says:

I like that ergobaby carrier nowadays, they are designed for a better and safer baby carrier.  Not like what we used during the days in our community, only a blanket and you are not sure of the position of the baby at the back.

This ergobaby carrier is packed with a droll bib and that’s the plus in this baby carrier so if the baby happens to spew out something you will not be bothered to clean the whole thing.

    1. Kenneth Glossop says:

Hello, yes it’s true that the design of baby carriers only gets better each year. It would be nice that their carriers came with a few of these as standard, but you cannot have everything right? It’s still a great carrier and the accessories can be really useful for day to day task. Thanks

I love this site. This week I have planned to an ergobaby carrier for my baby so it will be easier for his mother to transport with the baby. Reading this has enlighten me on why I have to buy the accessories as well. Thanks for this, I know my wife will be very glad because I’m making this a surprise.
